Libby For Mac

  1. Libby has some great features: you can download titles for offline reading or stream them to save space. Libby will bookmark your place, even if you pick up another device to resume reading. You can choose settings for reading at night, and customize your font - there's even a font to help readers with dyslexia.
  2. Libby is a new app released by OverDrive. It has the same collection of titles as the OverDrive app - it’s just a different way to access the same digital library collection. Libby is a fast and attractive digital browsing experience. Libby is compatible with Android and iOS devices, and OverDrive is working on and app for Kindle Fire/HD devices.

With a Mac, you can borrow and enjoy ebooks, audiobooks, and streaming videos from your library's digital collection.

I’m sure many people know that OverDrive developed a reading app called Libby about four years ago. What you might not know is that in addition to the Android and iOS apps, there was also an app for Windows.

Apparently the app has been retired. A reader sent me the following screenshot (Thanks, Cheri!)

TBH folks, I didn’t even know this app existed. A quick Google search uncovered it in the Microsoft Store, which may explain why i haven’t heard of it (I’m still running Windows 7).

Did you ever try it? What did you think?
